Prologue
Where to begin? Well if you do not play MineCraft, you may be wondering what a creeper exactly is, and no it's not that weird dude who follows you around and randomly post's stuff on your prefferd social network. In the world of MineCraft a creeper is a monster which, literally creeps up on you and explodes. The tell tale sssss, lets you know that you and whatever you are working on, is in fact about to be horribly destroyed and disfigured. In MineCraft creepers are a builder's worst enemy. As a builder you have to stay on high alert at all times, and constantly watch your back. Unlike all other monsters of MineCraft the creeper does not burst into flames when the sun comes up, they have to be different and stalk you all hours of the day, waiting hoping to happen upon an unsuspecting miner. Now that I've bored you on the facts about creepers let us begin the story of a not so normal creeper, by the name of Todd.
Chapter 1: Todd?
Like most monster in the world of MineCraft, our creeper was born deep within an undisturbed cave, a great distance underneath the blocky earth of Mineasteerith. Our creeper is no ordinary creeper, some think that the spawning box which he came malt functioned. Others believe he is the first of a more noble creeper. He was born a lighter shade of green than is known of his kind. Instead of the mindless blank stare, you can sense feelings and emotion. He can move his mouth, and eve somewhat talk. The most important trait of our creep is, he lacks the ability to explode. The mining village around the cave he was born, were at first scared of him, seeing a creeper would scare anyone. The fear of you and your house being taken out in one fell swoop would d that to any sane person. The villagers noticed he did not chase them, or even try to sneak up on them. They deemed him Todd, after a miner who had shown the village kindness while passing through. Todd very much like the village and it's people. He often led the resident miners to caves that were abundant and plentiful in ore.
One day, after a particularly rowdy night, there was a deep rumble in the distance, almost like a faint thunder storm on its way through the valley's. As the day progressed the rumble became stronger, as night began to fall it had built into a dull roar. All of the villagers gathered on their rooftops, looking out, trying to spy what was causing the loud disturbance. As the last rays of sunlight passed below the distant hills on the horizon, a massive horde of creepers burst over the hill leading into the village, and all of it inhabitants. Mass chaos broke out as miners and their families tried to flee the doomed township. Before all could flee the horde was upon the village. The sky was alight with explosions, timber burst into flames, brick and cobblestone homes were blown to bits. By sunrise the once thriving and joyous town was reduced to a pile of smoldering rubble.
